Why two versions (Pet's Life Story vs Complete Tribute Story)?

Different families want different things. Pet's Life Story is for active pets — anniversary gifts, Gotcha Day commemorations, the joy of an ongoing story. Complete Tribute Story is for families honoring a pet who has passed — Memorial Edition pages by default, gentle voice with "The Void" technique respected, full lifetime arc. Same hardcover quality, different emotional containers.

Can I pre-order or place a brief now?

Not yet — Story Book production needs Phase 2 vendor partnerships (binding, archival paper, slipcase printing). If you want art today, we recommend a Single Print or Gallery Wall ×3 from Phase 1A. When Story Book launches, you can reuse those existing illustrations — no need to re-brief.

Can I reuse artwork I already ordered?

Yes — that's the design intent. If you've already ordered Single Prints or Gallery Wall sets, those illustrations carry forward into your future Story Book. Returning customers get a 20% discount on Story Book orders. We'll email returning customers separately when this is available.

Will Memorial Edition be included?

Yes — the Complete Tribute Story version includes Memorial Edition pages by default, with gentle voice and "The Void" technique respected. For families who lost their pet mid-book or want to retroactively memorialize a previous chapter, we'll have a Memorial Edition add-on at launch. No aggressive grief-marketing — just a respectful frame.

Can I gift Story Book to someone?

Yes — Pet's Life Story is designed with gifting in mind. Gift packaging is default (ribbon + handwritten note), and we'll have a "gift-while-still-active" option at checkout where the recipient writes the captions themselves. Common scenarios: anniversary gift for a partner, Gotcha-Day commemoration for a friend, milestone gift for grandparents who love the pet.

Targeting archival paper rated 200+ years (acid-free, lignin-free), Smyth-sewn layflat binding, linen spine (premium tier: linen + gold foil), and a handmade slipcase at the Complete tier. Cover materials and exact paper weight will be confirmed once Phase 2 vendor partnerships are signed — that's part of why we're not rushing.

What's the estimated production timeline once it launches?

Targeting 3–6 weeks per book once Phase 2 launches — longer than Single Print (5–10 days) because (1) bookbinding is a slower process, (2) Story Book is one artist throughout (consistency over speed), (3) we won't rush gentle Memorial Edition pages.
